Rock Creek is located between Jacksonville and Richlands in the heart of Eastern North Carolina. Our rich heritage dates back to the Algonquian Indians who once inhabited this area.
Just minutes away from Rock Creek is Jacksonville, North Carolina ’s seventh largest city and home to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River. Jacksonville was voted an All American City and has plentiful shops and restaurants for you to enjoy.
The quaint town of Richlands sits just seconds to the West of Rock Creek. Primarily a rural farming community, at one time Richlands was known as “Rich Land” because of its fertile soil. Richlands was the site of the first county library and is also home to the Onslow County Museum, Union Chapel and 195 acre Richlands-Steed Park.
Rock Creek also enjoys close proximity to the beaches of Atlantic, Topsail, Surf City and Emerald Isle as well as historic Swansboro, Beaufort and New Bern whose quaint, historic atmosphere and local antique and specialty shops are well worth a visit.
